John Timmermann’s interest in design and natural science led him to California State Polytechnic University where he received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 1974. Following graduation he moved to Boise to serve his apprenticeship and enjoy the beauty of Idaho. John was licensed in 1978 and became partners in an established Architectural firm the same year.
The early years of John’s work was in institutional and commercial architecture dealing with complex programs, codes and structural requirements and has proved to be a valuable foundation for his career. After building a small townhouse project in the mid 1980’s, John’s focus changed to residential architecture. Over the past 12 years John’s experience has primarily been the design of custom homes in natural settings where native materials can be used to blend with the varied Northwest environment.
John has received an Award for Design Excellence from the City of Boise and currently serves on the Architectural Design Review Committee of an up-scale development in the Boise Foothills.
